Meghan Markle's Netflix cooking show is a sweet escape
Updated | By Entertainment Reporter
We binge-watched all eight episodes of 'With Love, Meghan', and it's actually quite good.

Meghan Markle's long-awaited Netflix lifestyle series finally made its debut this week.
'With Love, Meghan' premiered on the streaming platform on Tuesday, March 4, several weeks after the release date was pushed back due to the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
While the British media seemed determined to find fault with the cooking
show – one publication called it an "exercise in narcissism" – viewers
were pleasantly surprised by the eight-episode series.
"One episode in and I’m hooked! So good for the nervous system! Calming, joyful, beautiful colors and sweet!" one person commented on a clip shared on Netflix's official Instagram page.
"I just finished it and I loved it. We need season 2 as soon as possible!" A second viewer wrote.
A third said: "Watched the first episode and it’s so heartwarming and delightful! Best show!"
A fourth person raved: "This show equals happiness!"
While the Duchess of Sussex's cooking series won't be considered groundbreaking, it serves up just the right amount of lighthearted and aesthetically pleasing content for a sweet escape.
The show isn't recorded at the Montecito home she shares with Prince Harry and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Instead, it was shot in a beautiful farmhouse in Santa Barbara, complete with amazing views of Los Padres National Forest.
Episode one kicked off with Markle showing off her beehives. Yes, the duchess harvests her own honey. She also gets eggs from her chicken coop (Archie's Chick Inn) and fruits, vegetables and flowers from her garden.
Her rescue dog Guy, who passed away in January, also makes several cute appearances.
Markle's close friend and makeup artist, Daniel Martin, is the first guest featured on the show. Together they make candles with leftover beeswax and a one-pot pasta.
She also makes a "naked" honey lemon cake, a rudités platter, an Epsom salts bath soak and an allergy tea.
Martin and Markle go way back. He worked as a beauty editor on her lifestyle blog, The Tig, which was shut down shortly before her royal wedding.
The way l have fallen in love with Daniel Martin 😍♥️

I wanna be his bestie
Honestly he’s a princess, cutting his finger within 2 seconds and l can see his friendship dynamic with Meghan 😂, sorta big sister. He really cracked me up pic.twitter.com/ASiancDk3v
Other guests on the show include fellow mom Mindy Kaling, LA chef Roy Choi, Ramon Velazquez, chef Alice Waters, and friends Delfina Blaquier Figueras, Vicky Tsai, Abigail Spencer, Kelly Zajfen, Tracy Robbins, Victoria Jackson and Jennifer Rudolph.
Prince Harry and Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, make brief appearances in the final episode.
Markle's delicious recipes in the series include Korean fried chicken, breakfast doughnuts, chicken tinga tacos, pickled strawberries, watermelon, and kimchi.
She also shows off her homemade fruit preserves, one of the products her company, As Ever, will sell.
Markle's recipes are simple, beautifully presented and easy to follow. She isn't trying to reinvent the wheel; as she put it in on Instagram Stories, she's "in pursuit of joy, not perfection".
You can find all the recipes from her show on Netflix's Tudum website.
Coupled with her hosting tips, party advice, DIY projects and personalised gift ideas, 'With Love, Meghan', will be a hit with her fans and target audience.
"Wholesome, down to earth, unpretentious, fun-loving realness. Everything the Royal Family isn't. Meghan Markle is a natural & shines through. You don't have to like her to like the show & you don't have to like the show because you like her. But if you're b****ing about the show just because it's Meghan, you're petty & vindictive and thanks for binge-watching it!" one X user said.
