Police
are investigating a shocking school incident caught on a CCTV camera.
A man has been caught on camera punching a seven-year-old boy at a school in Washington, D.C.
A surveillance camera at the school caught the parenting hitting someone else’s child last week.
The boy can be seen in the footage holding his stomach as he falls to the floor in agony.
It is unclear what prompted the man to walk up to the boy and suddenly strike him. He looks back at the boy in pain on the floor and continues walking.
The school says the man had been in the hallway to drop off his own child.
He has since been banned from entering the building.
The boy’s mother, Lena Mclean, told ABC30 she has had only positive interactions with the man who hit her child, and is baffled by his actions.
“You watched my son on that ground and you didn’t do nothing … and all you could say to me is you was playing. You don’t bully a child; you don’t torment a child. I wouldn’t do that to you. I wouldn’t do that to none of your kids. I’ll feel much better when he is locked up,” she said.
Police are investigating the incident.
