"I am beyond shameful and disappointed in myself," says Mampintsha.
Mandla "Mampintsha" Maphumulo has apologised to Babes Wodumo, her family, and South Africa following his arrest for assault.
The musician took to Instagram to share a lengthy apology. He begged for forgiveness.
"South Africa, I'm sorry! I know many of you don't want to hear it kodwa from the bottom of my heart, I would like to send my deepest and humblest apologies.
"To Bongekile Simelane and the whole Simelane family, to our leaders and in this country, to my colleagues and fellow industry artists, to the general public, once more especially to our women, to my family and God, I'd like to say I'm really sorry and regret everything. Please forgive me."

Mampintsha added that he is "disappointed" in himself.
"I have been in a shell since the time of the incident till today because I am beyond shameful and disappointed in myself for allowing my emotions to get the better of me," he wrote.
The Big Nuz musician made headlines earlier this month after a video that was captured on Instagram Live showed him assaulting Babes.
He was arrested shortly after the incident and released on R2,000 bail.
Mampintsha claimed he hit the 'Wololo' hitmaker in self-defence and accused her of being violent when she is drunk.

Meanwhile, Mampintsha was confronted by an angry group of patrons at Cubana in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday night.
A video shared on Twitter shows patrons chanting and pushing him around.
A staff member told TshisaLive he was not there to perform and "he did arrive in his personal capacity".
"When he arrived some people started whistling, chanting and pushing him around but there was no violence. He (Mampintsha) was not kicked out of the venue and went to a separate lounge where he had a few drinks and then left."
