Madonna has
shown support for Britney Spears amid her conservatorship battle.
The mega star took to Instagram Stories to speak out in defence of Spears and said the conservatorship is a violation of human rights.
She posted a photo of herself wearing a Britney Spears’ t-shirt.
The caption of her post read: "Give this woman her life back. Slavery was abolished so long ago! Death to the greedy patriarchy that has been doing this to women for centuries. This is a violation of human rights! Britney we coming to get you out of jail!".
Spears has been engaged in a 13-year conservatorship battle.
A US court has ruled that her father, Jamie Spears, will remain part of her conservatorship. This is after the popstar said her conservatorship is "abusive", likening her situation to being in prison.
The popstar was placed under court-ordered guardianship in 2008 following a public breakdown.

Support for the star
Other stars who have shown support for the star include Christina Aguilera.
“These past few days I’ve been thinking about Britney and everything she is going through. It is unacceptable that any woman, or human, wanting to be in control of their own destiny might not be allowed to live life as they wish,” she wrote on Instagram.
