Lizzo launches size-inclusive shapewear line: 'This is a love letter to my big girls'
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
Music superstar Lizzo is redefining beauty standards.
Lizzo is the latest celebrity to venture into fashion. The 'Rumors' hitmaker is following in the footsteps of Kim Kardashian and launching her very own shapewear line.
Lizzo says her YITTY line is size-inclusive and specifically ensures that plus-size women are catered for.
"This is a love letter to my big grrrls, and a welcome letter to Every Body. This is *not* an invitation to change who you are… this is an opportunity to BE who you are on your terms. I don’t know about y’all— but I’m sick of people telling me how I’m supposed to look and feel about my body," she wrote on Instagram.
The 33-year-old added that the project was five years in the making. She says she wants to help women reclaim their body.
"I’m tired of discomfort being synonymous with sexy. If it’s uncomfortable TAKE IT OFF. And if it makes you feel good PUT IT ON. @YITTY isn’t just shapewear, it’s your chance to reclaim your body and redefine your beauty standard. I love y’all."

The Grammy Award winner broke down in 2021 while opening up about the body-shaming she has to endure online from complete strangers.
"People saying shit about me that just doesn't even make sense. It's fatphobic, and it's racist, and it's hurtful... If you don't like my music, cool.... But a lot of people don't like me because of the way I look," the 'Truth Hurts' hitmaker said.
Despite the hate she gets on social media about her weight and how she dresses, Lizzo remains upbeat. She has a lot to be excited about.
Her new show, 'Watch Out for the Big Grrrls', was the number one most-watched reality show on Amazon Prime when it debut last week.
Lizzo also revealed this month that she is almost done with her new album.
