Lil Wayne, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, is being sued by his former bodyguard.

According to weekend reports, the rapper's former bodyguard, Carlos Christian, says the 'Sucker For Pain' hitmaker physically assaulted him in December 2021.

According to TMZ, Christian says an argument broke out at the rapper's Hidden Hills home in California.

He reportedly said that when the argument escalated, Wayne threatened to shoot him with a semiautomatic rifle.

He pointed the semiautomatic rifle at him and punched him in the ear, reports Rolling Stone

Christian says he incurred medical expenses, lost wages, and suffered emotional distress, states TMZ.

He is reportedly suing Wayne for compensatory and punitive damages.

In 2020, Wayne pleaded guilty to a firearm charge.

A gold-plated pistol and bullets were found in his luggage when police searched a private plane in Miami. He reportedly told police the weapon had been given to him as a Father's Day gift.
