American rapper Latto says she can't trust anyone who doesn't use an electric toothbrush.

The 'Big Energy' hitmaker, whose real name is Alyssa Michelle Stephens, shared her thoughts on X (formerly Twitter).

"If yo toothbrush not electric I can’t trust you!" she wrote.

The rapper's followers were quick to call her out on her statement.

"Latto, you [are] my fave, but why are you coming at us normal toothbrush people," one user replied. Another user replied: "Nah, manual toothbrushes are where it's at."

A third person wrote: "If you don’t replace your brush heads as often as you would a regular tooth brush then I don’t trust you."

Some also slammed Latto for making such a bold statement when she has veneers.

"I can’t stand when people get money and start judging other people for things they’ve been doing for years. We are judging people for using a manual toothbrush now? If anything, I prefer a manual toothbrush to make sure I’m applying the same amount of pressure to each veneer, I mean tooth," one Instagram user wrote.

Latto did not reveal why she thinks electric toothbrush users are more trustworthy. Does she think an electric toothbrush is better for oral hygiene or it is a money thing?

Both manual and electric toothbrushes are effective ways to clean your teeth. However, they both have their advantages.

Some studies have found that electric toothbrushes typically remove more plaque than manual toothbrushes.

Most electric toothbrushes also have built-in timers, which means you are more than likely to spend the recommended 2-3 minutes cleaning your pearly whites.

Unlike electric toothbrushes, manual brushes are cheaper and widely available. And, more importantly, they get the job done!
