South African DJ, Lamiez Holworthy-Morule, is opening up about what it is like being back at work after welcoming her first child.

The 30-year-old, who is married to Khulane 'Khuli Chana' Morule, gave birth to their first child together in March.

They named their baby boy Leano-Laone Zion Morule.

Lamiez is officially a working mom and took to Instagram to reflect on how she feels about her maternity leave coming to an end.

"First week fully back at work and I can’t explain all the emotions I’ve gone through- from the little mommy guilt that comes with leaving your little one behind to the hunger that comes with wanting to go extra harder just for him," she wrote.

Lamiez added that her body is also getting used to her new life as a working mom.

"Then there’s your body having to adapt or learn to push through the crazy hours all over again and still give every gig your all… I then look at all the love I’ve received from each and everyone and it makes it all a little easier. It reminds me of the genuine love and support that I have, not only at home but at gigs too, and that alone is enough to carry me," she wrote.

The new mom has "newly found purpose, drive and hunger" since welcoming her son into the world. She is confident that she will be able to juggle it all as a working mom.

"I cannot wait to go even harder and still balance being a wife, a mother, a daughter, sister, friend, and all the other hats that I wear but most importantly? Still being able to be MYSELF."

She might be a first-time mom but Lamiez already has experience as a mother. Khuli has an older daughter named Nai, whom he shares with his ex Asanda Maku.

She opened up about being a stepmom in 2021.

"I could never say I'm ready to be a mom because I am a mom already. I am raising an 8-year-old from my husband's previous relationship. She is my daughter and that for me has been the biggest blessing in my life to date," TshisaLIVE quoted her as saying
