Kourtney Kardashian grateful to doctors for saving her baby's life

Kourtney Kardashian, who is expecting her first child with her husband Travis Barker, opened up about her pregnancy scare in an Instagram post shared on Wednesday. 

"I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterward, my rock," she wrote. 

Travis was on tour with Blink-182 last week in the UK when he had to rush home for an "urgent family matter".

Fans speculated that Kourtney could have been in labour. 'The Kardashians' star's previous pregnancies were fairly smooth, and she famously pulled out her son Mason during his delivery. 

"As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant." 

Kourtney also thanked her mother Kris Jenner for "holding my hand through this".

Kourtney has since left the hospital. Her baby is reportedly due between October and December 2023. 

Travis, meanwhile, has revealed that he will be resuming his European tour with Blink-182.

"God is great. I flew home for a life-threatening emergency surgery for our baby that I'm so grateful went well. I want to say thank you for all the support. Tour resumes Friday," he tweeted.

Travis and Kourtney's baby boy will be the seventh addition to the Barker-Kardashian household.

Kourtney has three children - Mason, Penelope and Reign - with ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick. Travis shares daughter Alabama and son Landon with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler. 

The drummer also maintains a close relationship with his stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, whom he still considers one of his own children.
