What would you do if your soon-to-be ex-husband asked you to give back the engagement ring you helped pay for? Kim Kardashian had to give hers back!
We know Kim Kardashian is a bazillionaire, but paying for your own engagement ring and still having to give it back? That is the devil's work.
Many years ago, the reality star turned businesswoman was briefly married to NBA basketball player Kris Humphries.
He proposed with an 18-carat Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring that cost a fortune.
However, they ended their marriage just 72 days after their August 2011 wedding.
During a recent episode of 'The Kardashians', the 44-year-old revealed that Humphries only "contributed a fifth" towards the ring.
"I didn't keep that," she alleged about the ring.
By the time the divorce was finalised in 2013, Kardashian had already
moved on with Kanye West and was expecting her first child with the
rapper.
"I was pregnant with North, still married to him and in order to divorce him, he said I had to give him the ring in my divorce," she said.
Humphries auctioned the ring for a cool $749,000 (about R14 million)

Before her marriage to Humphries, the SKIMS founder was married to music producer Damon Thomas.
She was also in a relationship with NFL star Reggie Bush, Nick Lachey, Nick Cannon, and Ray-J, whom she recorded her famous sex tape with, before meeting Humphries.
Kardashian went on to marry West in a lavish wedding held in Florence, Italy, in 2014.
Their daughter North, who could barely walk at the time, was a cute little flower girl. They divorced in 2022.
She got to keep her 15-carat ring in the divorce settlement.
"That one I'm gonna give to Northie because she was with me when I got engaged."
West actually gave her a second 20-carat ring three years after their engagement in 2013. It was stolen during a 2016 Paris robbery.
She reportedly lost jewellery worth $10 million during the incident.
