Kim Kardashian's daughter criticises her "dollar store" style

While most celebrities are surrounded by "yes people" who never tell them the truth, Kim Kardashian is learning the hard way that children will always speak their minds. 

Kim got an Anna Wintour-style fashion critique from her daughter North West in the latest episode of the family's reality show, 'The Kardashians'. 

The 43-year-old and her sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, were guests at the 2023 Met Gala in May. 

Kim turned heads in a unique Schiaparelli outfit. She was draped in 50, 000 freshwater pearls!

While Kim made it onto the 'Best Dressed' lists of many fashion magazines, her daughter North was not feeling the look at all. 

She initially liked the dress when her mother showed it to her on a video call, but changed her mind when she saw it again. 

"There's way too much gaps in the pearls. It looks like she's a Hawaiian girl with her dress all ripped," the then-nine-year-old said. 

She also noted that the pearls looked fake but Kim told her that they were "very expensive, real pearls". 

North, whose father is rapper Kanye West, dealt one final blow. 

"I like the pearls. I just don't like that it looks like from the Dollar Store," she said.

There is one Met Gala outfit that North was 100% in love with - her Aunty Kendall's sequin bodysuit, which was designed by Marc Jacobs.

Ironically, Kim hated her little sister's dress and shared her feelings with North and her niece Penelope Disick.

North, who really needs to change her name to 'Honest Abe', spilled the beans to Aunty Kendall. The model revealed that North and Penelope told her that they loved her Met Gala look the most. 

Kendall also revealed that Kim was a big fan of the look. North did not hold back. "She was lying. She told me she did not like your look.”

Yikes! 

Kim later told North that she needed to stop being a blabbermouth. 

"You need to have some like loyalty. When mommy talks s*** about people, you cannot go tell them. Why would you tell Auntie Kendall I hated her outfit?" 

The beauty mogul added in one of her confessionals that she is trying to teach North, now 10, that honesty is great but she also needs to be aware of how her words could end up hurting people. 

"You don't just jump in and annihilate people for no reason."
