Khloe Kardashian has shared a heartfelt tribute to Tristan Thompson's mother, Andrea. The matriarch died earlier this month after suffering a heart attack.

Khloe flew to Canada with her ex-partner shortly after the news broke. His mother, who is of Jamaican descent, lived in Toronto.

Andrea was a grandmother to two of Khloe's children with Tristan - daughter True and a son they welcomed in July 2022 via a surrogate.  Tristan has two other children - Theo with Maralee Nichols and Prince with Jordan Craig

Khloe, who developed a strong relationship with Tristan's mother over the years, shared pictures and videos from some of their moments together.

Andrea often called the Good American founder her daughter.

"I have been avoiding this…. Avoiding accepting this is real. I have so much to say but nothing at all…. I have so many emotions and still, I feel numb. Life can be brutally unfair at times and this has been one of the toughest times in so many of our lives. But at the same time, I feel blessed that I am lucky to have had someone that makes saying goodbye so incredibly difficult," Khloe wrote in a touching Instagram post.

The reality star lost her father Robert Kardashian when she was 19 and knows all too well the pain of losing a parent. The 38-year-old added that she is not saying goodbye for good as she is confident she will see Andrea again.

"I know I will hear your sweet voice and infectious laugh again. I know I’ll get to feel that embrace of yours. I’ll see you again with the many that have gone before you that I so desperately miss, love and cherish. So, I’m choosing to say, that until I see you again in Heaven, I miss you and I will continue to miss you more and more every single day."

Khloe also vowed to help take care of Tristan's youngest brother, Amari, who suffers from epilepsy.

"I know you never wanted to leave your boys. They are your entire world. They will learn to live with the hole in their hearts because they are warriors just like their warrior mommy. Just know, I promise you, Amari will be perfectly ok. We will all look after him, help him and protect him. Your boys will be ok because they have their guardian Angel by their side."

The NBA star, who also has two other brothers - Dishawn and Daniel, is very close to his family.

Tristan's father, Trevor Thompson, was a truck driver while his mother was a retired school bus driver.

She drove him to his basketball games when he was younger. Tristan often credits his mother with helping him launch his basketball career.

"Thank you so much for all of the sacrifices you have made for me and our family! Watching your hard work and dedication for our family is what made me the man I am today! I love you soo much," he said.
