Britney Spears just can't seem to catch a break.

The singer's ex-husband, Kevin Federline, has revealed that she currently doesn't have the best relationship with their sons, Sean Preston (16) and Jayden James (15).

He has even gone as far as sharing video clips of Britney and her boys arguing.   The former dancer has since deleted the footage.

One clip, which was allegedly taken a few years ago, shows Britney telling her sons that they need to "respect" her and start treating her "like a woman with worth".

"Be nice to me. Do you understand?” she is heard saying in the video.

Another clip shows Britney arguing with one of her sons.

"Have you lost your f***ing mind? I mean, have you lost your f***ing mind? I do care but I’m shocked as f*** with you. And I don’t know what to do... I don’t know what to say. But I do care more than you know," she said.

Kevin released the video clips after Britney criticised him over a sit-down interview he did with ITV.

Kevin, who was married to Britney for three years, claimed in his ITV interview that she has not seen her sons in months because they don't want to visit her anymore.

The father of six revealed that Sean and Jayden chose not to attend Britney's wedding to Sam Asghari in June. Kevin said the teenagers had not seen her in months because they did not like that she posts nude selfies on Instagram.

Sam came to his wife's defence, saying Kevin is upset that his gravy train will soon be coming to an end.

"The boys are very smart and will be 18 soon to make their own decisions and may eventually realize the "tough" part was having a father who hasn't worked much in over 15 years as a role model," Sam wrote on Instagram.

Britney reportedly pays Kevin $20,000 (R323,000) for child support every month.

Britney says she loves her boys but admits that the "teenage age is weird".

She slammed Kevin for going to the press, saying the matter should have been dealt with privately.

"It saddens me to hear that my ex-husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children ... As we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone ... It concerns me the fact that the reason is based on my Instagram ... it was LONG before Instagram ... I gave them everything ... Only one word: HURTFUL," the 40-year-old wrote in one post.

Kevin is not backing down. He defended himself by explaining why he has chosen to speak out.

"I can not sit back and let my sons be accused in this way after what they’ve been through. As much as it hurts us, we decided as a family to post these videos the boys took when they were 11 & 12. This isn’t even the worst of it. The lies have to stop. I hope our kids grow up to be better than this. #NeverFearTruth" he said.

Social media users slammed Kevin, saying the videos only show that Britney was trying to parent their children by setting rules and boundaries.
