Princess Catherine celebrates Charlotte's birthday with cute snap

Catherine 'Kate' Middleton is showing off her photography skills again. This time for Princess Charlotte's ninth birthday. 

A picture of Charlotte was shared on the Prince and Princess of Wale's official Instagram page on Thursday. 

"Happy 9th Birthday, Princess Charlotte! Thank you for all of the kind messages today," the snap was captioned. 

The royal family's fans flooded the comments section with "happy birthday" messages. Many said Charlotte was the spitting image of her father Prince William.

"William said copy and paste," one Instagram user wrote. 

Another user added: "Is she going to look like her grandma Princess Diana when she’s grown up."

Kate, a budding photographer, often takes pictures of her children, Charlotte, Prince Louis, and Prince George. 

The 42-year-old also celebrated Prince Louis' sixth birthday in April by sharing one of the images she took on Instagram.

"Love the Princess of Wales's typically calm and serene style of photography. Happy 6th Birthday Prince Louis!" one royal fan wrote. 

The royal couple's fans are thrilled that Kate continues to take pictures of their children despite her recent cancer diagnosis. 

Kate took a break from public duties earlier this year after undergoing abdominal surgery. No further details were shared about her illness, leading to wild speculation about her "mysterious" disappearance from the public eye.

The royals tried to quash the rumours by sharing a picture Prince William allegedly took of Kate and their children a few days before Mother's Day in the UK. 

However, the picture was pulled from news agencies after discovering it was altered beyond the average Photoshop touchups, which typically include minor changes such as lighting adjustments. Some conspiracy theorists claimed the image was pieced together using different pictures of the family.

Kate took the blame for the suspicious picture, saying she had edited it.

"Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused."

The royal family refused to release the original or reveal what exactly she edited. 

Kate revealed a week later that she was diagnosed with cancer. She has not been seen since, but her fans are delighted that she still makes her presence known through her family pictures. 

"So glad to hear from Princess Catherine via this delightful photo. HBD, little Louis!" one fan commented.
