Justin Bieber confesses feeling "unequipped and unqualified"

"I personally have always felt unworthy. Like I was a fraud."

Justin Bieber has shared a deeply personal message to his fans.
Despite his immense success, the 'Sorry' hitmaker admits that he sometimes feels "unequipped and unqualified most days".
"People told me my whole life, 'Wow, Justin you deserve that.' And I personally have always felt unworthy. Like I was a fraud," he revealed in a post shared on Instagram Stories.
The 31-year-old appears to be struggling with imposter syndrome, which makes people feel like they are not good enough or undeserving of their accomplishments.
Some people with imposter syndrome also suffer from depression, low self-esteem and anxiety.
Bieber says the compliments make him feel sneaky.
"Like when people told me I deserve something, it made me feel sneaky, like damn, if they only knew my thoughts. How judgemental I am, how selfish I really am. They wouldn't be saying this.
"If you feel sneaky welcome to the club. I definitely feel unequipped and unqualified most days," he concluded.

Bieber's post comes amid concerns about his mental health. His fans became worried after recent pictures showed him looking gaunt.
He also had dark circles under his eyes in some images. Some accused him of being on hard drugs.
"I'm kinda sorry for Justin Bieber... He clearly needs help and no one is helping him, not even his wife [Hailey Bieber]!! He has a son and still doing drugs! The real question is: what's the reason behind [his] downfall?" one X user wrote.
His rep was quick to rubbish the claims, telling TMZ that the "recurring narrative that Justin is using hard drugs is absolutely not true".
The rep added that the past 12 months have been "very transformative for him as he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him".
Bieber is also focused on supporting his wife Hailey after welcoming their first child, Jack Blues, in August 2024, and reportedly working on a new album after a four-year hiatus.
