John Legend's pantsless picture with daughter causes uproar
Innocent or inappropriate? Social media users are weighing in on John Legend's father-daughter picture.
John Legend has sparked a debate on social media after sharing a pantsless picture of himself and his daughter Esti.
The EGOT winner took to Instagram on Oscars night to show his 15-million followers how his preparations were going.
He wore a suit jacket and bow tie while holding his 13-month-old daughter's hand in the snap.
"Ready," the 45-year-old wrote.

Many of the singer's followers slammed the picture, saying it was inappropriate for the internet.
"I love u, John, but not a good idea," one woman wrote.
Another woman added: "John, I know you meant well with this pic. What’s wrong with you showing the world you look like you have no underwear on as well? Looking at the bottom of your shirt. You are a father… Have some type of respect. Why post this… Some things you must think about before you post. This doesn’t look too good. I definitely love all the talent you have. This is just not cute!"
Some found the image hilarious, noting that John had more clothes on than John Cena.
The former WWE star presented an award at the Oscars butt-naked! He only had on Birkenstocks, and an oversized envelope to hide his family jewels.
Backstage photos also showed him wearing a modesty pouch - just in case he had a little slip!

Others joked that John's pantsless outfit was standard wear for a remote worker.
"Are you on your way to a Zoom meeting, John? Haha!" one fan teased.

John was unfazed by the drama, and made light of the situation in a separate post.
"Ok I wore pants. Boy did I wear pants," he captioned a picture of himself at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty.

John and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, have four children together. The couple welcomed two children in 2023.
Their daughter Esti was born in January 2023, while their son Wren was born via a surrogate mother in June.
John and Chrissy also have two older children - Luna (7) and Miles (5). The proud dad often shares pictures of his little ones on Instagram.
We doubt #PantslessGate will deter him from sharing memories with his kids on social media!
