NBA star Jimmy Butler has denied rumours that he is dating Shakira.
NBA star Jimmy Butler has set the record straight on whether he and Shakira are dating.
In an interview with Rolling Stone which was published on Monday, Jimmy praised Shakira for being an incredible human being, but denied that the two of them are romantically involved.
“She’s an incredible human being and an incredible talent,” Jimmy told the publication.
He said people just made up the rumour of the two of them dating, but there is no truth to it.
"You never know what people are doing so people just make stuff up. Just because we are friends, she lives in Miami, and her sons are big basketball fans — that doesn’t mean anybody’s dating,” he said.
“Just because people hang out doesn’t mean anybody’s dating," he added.
"But it gives everybody something to talk about, so y’all take it and y’all run with it. She’s very, very cool and that’s all I got!” he concluded on the subject.

The rumour began in July after the 34-year-old, who plays for Miami Heat, was spotted hanging out with Shakira.
Shakira was previously romantically involved with ex-footballer Gerard Pique. The two of them split in June 2022.
They broke up after being together for over ten years.
The singer and Gerard have two children together; Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7.
