The comedian held nothing back when it came to the production, choreography, and outfits.
Watanabe shared what inspired her to do the music video in an Instagram post over the weekend.
"When I first saw "Rain On Me" at the end of May, I thought it was so powerful and amazing - I talked to my team to do this for YouTube. We shot this after the COVID quarantine and it's finally ready. The dancers and staff members are legit- all those who actually work with music videos, so this is a legit parody music video," she wrote.
She added how proud she was of her amazing work.
"It's quite over the top - it's more than a parody"
The comedian added that she got the thumbs up from Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande to do the parody video.
"FYI - Gaga and Ariana gave us the OK too (I heard Gaga even saw it)," she tweeted.
The video, which was posted over the weekend, is already sitting on over four-million views and over 200,000 likes.
Fans have described it as perfection, with some even saying it is better than the original music video.
"This is not a parody at all! I mean, everything here was so professional!" one YouTube user wrote.
Another one added: "When this parody is way better than most of the official mv's in my country. Im so embarrassed."
Watch the music video below. With Watanabe being a comedian, prepare yourself to laugh! The video is not only entertaining, but also very funny.
