How to make someone fall in love with you

Helping someone fall in love with you takes just a handful of steps. Did we mention they are scientifically proven?!

in love

Psychotherapist M. Gary Neuman says there are five ways you can make someone fall head-over-heels in love with you.

Neuman told the Business Insider that there is actually a science to falling in love.

Here are the steps he listed!

Consistent eye contact

Staring into your partner’s eyes like a love sick puppy is not only perfect for cheesy romantic movies! Neuman says maintaining consistent eye contact is good for a couple’s intimacy. People who are in love apparently maintain eye contact 75% of the time.

Being a good listener is key

Here’s something a lot of happy couples have mastered. Neuman says being a good listener is one of the keys to making someone fall in love with you. Why? Because showing interest in who someone really is, is very satisfying. Wanting to heard is a primal need, according to Neuman.

Validation

You need to make your partner feel like a winner. Neuman says this feeling will directly lead to falling in love with you because validation is extremely important. And science backs him up. According to a study by psychologists at the University of Nevada and Washington, 48% of couples’ failed relationships cited lack of validation at home as one of their reasons for their break-ups.

Show your pearly whites

Smiling makes you more attractive and engaging. Neuman says it also makes you feel like a winner. A study at Drake University backs him up!

Touching

According to a Harvard University study, touching leads to more overall satisfaction in a relationship. Neuman adds that touching increasing comfort and intimacy.

It is that simple! Mmm, we will give these a try if we ever bump into George Clooney.
