Flossing has basically been declared pointless!

Here’s one thing you may just want to cut
out of your morning routine – flossing!
A new probe has found that all the reasons given for flossing your teeth are inconsistent.
The Associated Press reported earlier this month that Agriculture and Health and Human Services departments in the US dropped flossing as a recommendation.
An AP reporter had apparently carried out an investigation that looked at 25 studies over the past 10 years.
He looked at tooth brushing VS tooth brushing and flossing.
The investigation found that the difference between the two was hardly even noticeable.
Several studies have also found that there is no strong evidence to support claims that flossing makes a huge difference to your oral hygiene.
A statement issued by the European Federation of Peridontology in 2014 took it one step further and said there were no proven benefits to flossing.
Dentists have long urged people to make sure they floss to prevent things such as gum disease, which is caused by the build-up of plaque between your gums and teeth.
Well, we certainly are not giving up flossing for no study!
And it seems some dentists agree, saying just because there is no scientific evidence of its benefits does not mean people should stop flossing all together.
If you do floss your teeth, just make sure you are doing so correctly. Many people are actually doing more harm than good with incorrect flossing methods, which usually results in your gums bleeding.
Check out this video on the correct way to floss, and how to brush your teeth as well.
