Five reasons why you should be at Huawei Durban Day 2016
Updated | By East Coast Radio
We are just over a month away from
one of Durban’s hottest music events of the year - Huawei Durban Day.
East Coast Radio’s annual concert is picking things up a notch this year, with some of South Africa’s top music acts set to perform.
Huawei Durban Day is taking place on October 23, at Moses Mabhida Stadium’s
People's Park.
If you haven’t bought your tickets yet, then you need to get on it asap, as they are a steal at R200 each.
Here are five reasons why you do not want to miss out!
Supa Mega Performances
This year’s Durban Day line-up is so hot, it is Supa Mega hot! Rapper AKA, um, aka Supa Mega, is one of the headlining acts, and is considered one of South Africa’s best performers.
As if that wasn’t mega enough, fan favourites Locnville are also making an appearance. Kyle & Shekinah, the duo behind one of SA’s biggest summer hits of 2015, will no doubt get you dancing.
There’s something for everyone with Nasty C, Freshly Ground, Beatenberg, TiMO ODV, and Matthew Mole also set to entertain music lovers. In the words of the young and hip – it will be lit – so get your dancing shoes ready.
FOMO is bad for your health
You do not want to wake up on 24 October 2016 with a serious case of FOMO. Fear of missing out is a real thing, and you do not want to miss Durban Day! There will be ugly crying (we are talking ‘Kim Kardashian ugly cry’ here, people) and major regret when you realise what an awesome time everyone has had.
There will be food galore
You can expect some seriously awesome food stalls ready to service your every hunger need. Snack breaks between sets will no doubt result in a party in your mouth.
Sun Dance
We’ve pretty much been doing the rain dance all year to help put an end to KZN’s drought, but for one day only, we will be doing the sun dance to ensure awesome weather conditions greet the big day. Though, we have to admit, come rain or shine, we are ready to dance the day away.
Relax and have fun
East Coast Radio has upped security even further this year to ensure you enjoy Durban Day without a care in the world. The 2010 FIFA World Cup entry procedure will be in place for the event, with entry being managed through one entrance. There will also be metal detectors in place, and stricter alcohol dispensing controls. ECR is taking every measure possible to make sure you have a care-free and fun-filled day with your family and friends.
