Women always get a bad rep for taking too long to get ready.

Men just don’t seem to get that beauty takes time. We bet if they added make-up, styling long hair, and careful outfit selection to their morning routines they would probably take just as long.

Glamour magazine released a video this week putting men and women’s daily routines to the test.

It calculated the average amount of time it takes the opposite sex to get ready over the course of one year.

It seems men and women take more or less the same time to shower, brush their teeth, and wash their face.

But as expected, doing hair and make-up adds a lot more time to routines.

Women also take a longer time shopping for clothes. With all the choices on offer, women spend an average of two hours shopping, while men take just 45-minutes.

Men think they usually do all the waiting, but the video revealed that women spend about 15-minutes waiting in the fitting room line and about 10-minutes in the bathroom line.  

Men usually spend zero minutes waiting in line.

So how much times does it take to be a woman over the course of one year?

About 24 days, seven hours, and 40 minutes!

What about the guys? Well, they spend just nine days, five hours, and 27-minutes getting ready every year!

Of course women who don’t wear make-up and hardly ever go shopping will take much less time being a woman than the rest.
