Family receives son’s letter written years before his death

"I opened the letter and saw his handwriting and tears filled my eyes."
Losing a loved one is devastating, especially if they die young. We are often left wondering what the future may have held for them?
Like the Vickers' family, who lost their son when he was just 19-years-old to a drive-by shooting in California. After many years of wondering what the future would have been like and what their son wished for himself in the future, they got a surprise letter from him that was written 14 years ago.
The letter was written as part of a class exercise given by teacher Daryl Hutchins, who asked her learners to write a letter to their future self, MSN reported. After years of trying to track down the deceased’s family, she finally managed to reach Aaron’s sister, Tyra Vickers-Kearney, on Facebook.
"The days waiting for the letter, the anticipation was so high. We were wondering, what did the letter say? You know, I hope it's not like a one-liner. I opened the letter and saw his handwriting and tears filled my eyes," Vickers-Kearny told CBS Sacramento.
Not only did Aaron pen down his hopes for the future, but he even made predictions about American politics."He even mentioned having a daughter in the future and naming her Ariana 'I'm So Unique' Vickers. He mentioned, in 10 years, we'll probably have a black vice president, or maybe a woman will run for president," Vickers-Kearny added.
Below is the video of the family reading the letter and saying how it makes them feel.
