Doja Cat shades her South African dad Dumisani Dlamini

When most children dedicate a social media post to their parents, it is to gush about how amazing they are, but not Doja Cat.

The 'Paint the Town Red' singer took to Instagram on Monday to share a scathing post about her South African dad, Dumisani Dlamini.

"Dad, lemme know when/if you need me to re-up your makeup cabinet cuz you a b****," she wrote.

The 28-year-old doubled down on her remarks in the comments section.

"[He] gave me a lazy eye and dipped," she wrote.

Ouch!

One follower warned Doja Cat not to publicly shame her father.

“You are messing with the wrong one. Zulus don’t play… your ancestors will humble you," the social media user wrote.

Doja Cat was unbothered.

"Go give the deadbeat a kiss on the lips for me," she replied.

South African actress Pearl Thusi was just as shocked as us by the drama. "Jesu Khristu," she commented.

Doja Cat revealed in previous interviews that she does not have a relationship with Dumisani.

"My dad’s proud of me, he's excited. He’s all over my Instagram, but what’s funny is I never met him,” she said in a 2019 interview.

Doja also lowkey shaded her father when she met Whoopi Goldberg in 2020. The actress starred in 'Sarafina!' alongside Dumisani and other SA stars such as Leleti Khumalo, Mary Twala, and John Kani.

"I'm just thinking about my dad 'cause he was in Sarafina! So, seeing you and meeting you is like the craziest thing… And I didn’t get to meet him but you did," she told Whoopi.

Doja Cat previously revealed that she wanted to meet her father when she was 13, but that didn't happen. She did not say why.

It's unclear what sparked Doja Cat's latest remarks, but it is clear she does not want anything to do with him.
