DJ Tira's recording studio in Durban is back up and running at full capacity following a robbery that halted music production.

The South African producer took to Instagram to share a video of the newly revamped Afrotainment recording studio.

"In God we trust. Afro studio revamped. Ready to create more magic with amazing talent," he captioned the clip.

Three months ago, criminals stripped the studio of all its equipment, including hard drives containing unreleased music from some of Afrotainment's artists.

The equipment, which included studio monitors and keyboards, was reportedly worth more than R200,000.

DJ Tira offered a R20,000 reward, but no arrests have been made.

Not only has he replaced all the equipment and revamped the studio, but he has also stepped up security measures.

Speaking to TshiaLIVE, DJ Tira, whose real name is Mthokozisi Khathi, says he cant afford to have a repeat of the last incident.

"My security was compromised and I didn't have CCTV cameras. Now I've made sure my security is tight and people coming to my studio will register with their names. It's going to be proper stuff,” he told the publication.

The 'Thank You Mr DJ' hitmaker adds that people will need to show their ID card or book to get access to his studio from now on.

"It was a terrible learning curve for me, I've learnt security is important... I've procured a 24-hour armed guard service and there will be no ID, no entry, Akudlalwa manje," he told TshisaLIVE.

Afrotainment is home to musicians such as Cndo, Q Twins, Tipcee, BigNuz, TankRocksta, and KwaMashu rapper Duncan Siphamandla Mbambo.

Duncan also lost some of his songs in the burglary, but assured fans that his upcoming album, 'iNcwadi Yezono', would not be affected.

"Although it hurts that we have to go through this as AFRO and most of people have lost umsebenzi omningi but I’m grateful that I’m left with most of my work …. So sit back and relax the album #IncwadiYezono is still coming," he said.
