'Devilsdorp' - the local true crime docu-series everyone's talking about

The devil lurks in Krugersdorp... "This is the wildest, craziest and most unbelievable South African documentary I have ever seen."
Showmax's new docu-series, 'Devilsdorp', has been described as a South African masterpiece. The four-part docu-series looks at the shocking and sometimes "bizarre" story about the Krugersdorp killings that took place between 2012 and 2016.
The murders, which were known as the Appointment Murders and the Satanic Murders, were traced back to Cecilia Steyn.
Steyn is believed to have been the mastermind of the satanic killings. She is accused of running the Electus per Deus (Chosen by God) cult.
"Devilsdorp is the result of an 18-month research process into how a small group of devout Christians trying to help a former satanist escape the satanic church ended in a murderous spree involving a killer mom, her two children, and a cult with more victims than members," Showmax said in a statement.

The docu-series features first-hand accounts from several people close to the case, including senior investigating officer, Captain Ben Booysen.
"Extraordinary footage of exorcisms, church meetings, and trial testimonies and judgments" are also included in the series.
"The family of the victims also share their stories, as do church members who knew the perpetrators." the statement reads.
Social media users who watched the doc-series could not believe that the bizarre events happened in South Africa.
"This is the wildest, craziest and most unbelievable South African documentary I have ever seen. And to think these events happened in a small town from 2012 to 2016?! Wild! #Devilsdorp," Khaya Dlanga tweeted.

What do you guys think of Cecilia Steyn? It’s like a movie, except it’s not. Even Tarantino couldn’t make this up. #Devilsdorp pic.twitter.com/GN62NIMgLj
