Demi Lovato's comments about extraterrestrials have the internet talking. The 'Heart Attack' singer, who identifies as nonbinary, is making headlines after they called for people to stop using the word "aliens".

Demi made the remark while discussing common misconceptions about extraterrestrials.

One negative stereotype the star hates is that people think space beings are harmful. Demi also doesn't think that E.T.s will "come and take over the planet", as many people believe.

"I really think that if there was anything out there that would want to do that to us, it would have happened by now. But I think that we have to stop calling them aliens because aliens is a derogatory term for anything. That's why I like to call them E.T.s!" they told Pedestrian TV in an interview.

The 29-year-old doesn't think the word "alien" should be used to describe humans or E.T.s.

Social media users had a lot to say about Demi's comments.

From UFOs to spirits, Demi tackles it all. The star says they have had encounters with extraterrestrials.
