The 29-year-old says she has been feeling more feminine recently.
Demi Lovato is sharing some insight into why she changed her pronouns to "she/her" again after coming out as non-binary in 2021.
Non-binary is a term used to describe people who don't identify solely as male or female.
Demi started using "they/them" as her pronouns last year, saying "this has come after a lot of healing & self-reflective work".
But the 'Cool For The Summer' singer raised eyebrows in April when she added "she/her" to her social media bios.
Demi explained why she has adopted the pronouns again during a recent interview on the Spout Podcast.
"I've actually adopted the pronouns of she/her again. So, for me, I'm such a fluid person... that I felt like, especially last year, my energy was balanced in my masculine and feminine energy. So when I was faced with the choice of walking into a bathroom and it said 'women' and 'men,' I didn't feel like there was a bathroom for me. Because I didn't feel necessarily like a woman, I didn't feel like a man, I just felt like a human," she said.
Demi says she has been feeling more feminine recently which is why she added "she/her" to her bio along with "they/them".
"I think what's important is nobody's perfect. Everyone messes up pronouns at some point, and especially when people are learning. It's just all about respect," the former Disney star said.

Demi released her new album, 'Holy FVCK', in June. She told the Spout Podcast that it is the first album she has recorded completely sober.
"And I am so proud of it. To look back at a body of work and think, 'wow, I was clear headed for all of that'. It makes me so grateful and so proud of it."
Demi's eighth studio album has produced hits songs such as 'Skin Of My Teeth' and 'Substance'.
