Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters shows off her American boyfriend

Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and professional baseball player Tim Tebow have made their relationship Instagram official. 

The Western Cape beauty took to the picture sharing app to wish her new man a happy birthday. 

"Happy Birthday Timmy. You are such a bright light in so many people’s lives. Have the best day ever!" she wrote.

News of the couple's romance first broke in July when Tim gushed about the "special girl" in his life.

"I am very lucky and blessed for her coming into my life. I am usually very private with these things but I am very thankful," he told ESPN in an interview.

Demi-Leigh played coy when the media quizzed her about the new man in her life during her recent trip to South Africa for Nelson Mandela’s birthday celebrations.

She didn't want to reveal too much about the relationship but admitted he is a "big blessing" in her life.

Tim is yet to post any pictures of Demi-Leigh on his Instagram account, but his sister Katie Tebow has.

Katie posted a picture of the couple at a photoshoot in July.
