"Grateful for the opportunity to represent my country, South Africa," Demi-Leigh wrote on Instagram.
The 23-year-old carried a small South African flag with her and proudly waved it around for all to see.
Demi also attended the unveiling of a statue in Nelson Mandela's honour. The statue was a gift from SA to the United Nations.
