"My person": Cassper Nyovest celebrates one year anniversary
The rapper can't believe it’s been a year since he married his person.
Cassper Nyovest, whose real name is Refiloe Maele Phoolo, showed his wife, Pulane Phoolo, some love on their first wedding anniversary.
The 'Tito Mboweni' rapper celebrated the milestone by sharing a sweet Instagram post dedicated to his "person".
"Can’t believe it’s been a year already since I got married to my person," he began the post.
Nyovest also included several pictures from their wedding day in the post.
"Commonly when one wants to write something reflecting on a full year or a relationship there’s a lot of pain and trauma. We have had our fair share," he continued.
However, Nyovest said he did not want to reflect on the challenges they faced. He instead gushed about how lucky he is to be married to the woman he loves.
"I was the happiest man alive the day you said to me and agreed to me, my wife, and I will never forget what a privilege it is that you afforded me. You had a choice and you chose to give me a chance. I hope you never regret it. I hope to make you laugh and smile daily until the Lord takes me.
"I don’t know what true love is and what it’s supposed to look like but one thing I’m very certain of is the fact that I plan on never giving up, walking out on us or ever calling another woman my wife or my woman," he said.
The 34-year-old added that he is doing "this marriage thing one time and one time only".
"Happy 1 year anniversary, babe."
Hundreds of Nyovest's followers, including some of his famous friends, congratulated him on reaching one year of marriage.
"No ways!!! 365 days already??? 🙆🏾♀️ Happy Anniversary Mr. & Mrs. P! 🥳🥂 Keep God at the centre. Keep failing forward. ❤️," Gail Mabalane commented.
Her husband Kabelo, who blessed the couple on their wedding day, added: "Bana ba ko gae. What God has put together let no man separate. Keep on! @casspernyovest @pulane_phoolo."
Former Miss South Africa Basetsana Kumalo also shared her well wishes.
"Happy Anniversary. May the Lord bless your beautiful union."
Nyovest and Phoolo tied the know in April 2024 after keeping their romance private for months.
The pair were childhood friends with Nyovest admitting that he had a crush on her since Grade 7.
Rumours about their relationship started to swirl shortly before the wedding. However, the rapper did not give anything away until his big day.
Once the cat was out of the bag Nyovest could not stop showing off his wife online.
"Date night with my hot wife," he captioned one post.
His latest song, 'Kusho Bani', also pays tribute to his Pulane.
"Have you seen my wife? Hosh'Karamaima," he raps.
According to Nyovest, 'Kusho Bani' describes an exceptionally gorgeous woman.
We couldn't agree more.
