BTS member tests positive for coronavirus

BTS's J-Hope has become the latest member of the band to contract the deadly virus.

Jung Ho-seok, better known by his stage name J-Hope, is currently in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19. 

The BTS rapper went to hospital on 23 March after experiencing a sore throat.

According to a statement released by Big Hit Music, the singer is fully-vaxxed and currently has no other symptoms except the sore throat.

“J-Hope is currently not presenting any extraordinary symptoms other than a sore throat," states the statement. 

He is currently under quarantine where he is taking treatment. 

J-Hope is the sixth BTS member to have caught the virus. Other members who previously tested positive include RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin, and V. 

The band said it prioritises its members' health and J-Hope will only resume work after his treatment is completed. 

“The company places the artists’ health as our top priority, and we will do everything we can to aid J-Hope in his speedy recovery. We will also diligently cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the health care authorities,” Big Hit Music concluded.
