Brad Pitt’s daughter Shiloh files to drop his last name
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt turned 18 in May and one of the first things she is doing with her newfound freedom is changing her last name.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's daughter Shiloh just made her first big decision as a young adult.
Shiloh, who turned 18 on May 27, filed court papers to drop her father's last name legally. She currently has the double barrel surname, Jolie-Pitt.
However, that won't be the case for long. According to TMZ, Shiloh completed the paperwork on the same day as her birthday.
Brad and Angelina are currently involved in a bitter divorce. The former lovers called it quits in 2016 after 10 years together.
Angelina initiated the divorce after an incident on a plane involving one of their six kids. In 2020, she told Vogue India that it was the "right decision" for their children.
"I separated for the wellbeing of my family. Some have taken advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media, but I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds. In fact, they are six very brave, very strong young people," she said.
Brad and Angelina have two other biological children, 15-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox Jolie-Pitt.
They also have three adopted children - Maddox, Zahara, and Pax.
