Bonang Matheba reveals vlogger is paying R300k defamation bill monthly
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
Pay me what you owe me, don't act like you forgot... Queen B is not letting this vlogger get out of settling his R300k defamation bill.
Bonang Matheba's net worth is in the millions, but that won't stop her from collecting what's due to her - especially if it's from a vlogger who owes her money for defamation.
The 35-year-old recently revealed that YouTuber, Rea Gopane, has no option but to pay her the R300,000 she was awarded in a defamation case last year.
Queen B sued Rea after he claimed in a podcast shared in 2021 that she introduced AKA to drugs. Bonang dated the rapper - who has since passed away - between 2015 and late 2017.
"Scoop told us that AKA is on [cocaine] and Bonang is the one that got him into cocaine," he alleged.
Bonang turned to the courts, demanding that Rea not only apologise, but pay her R500,000.
Bonang confirmed in January 2022 that she won her defamation case and was awarded R300,000.
"I won," she tweeted. The media personality added in another post: "….R300 000!!!"

But...
Rea said he won't be paying Queen B a cent.
"I would much rather burn every single rand I will ever make in my entire life than give it to that other queen of yours. Literally set it on fire,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet.

But...
Unfortunately for Rea, that's not how the law works. And Bonang is determined to get every single cent he owes her.

Please don't call me on my bluff
Pay me what you owe me

Bonang says Rea is indeed paying up.
"He’s paying in monthly instalments. One day he’ll need a car or house. I’ll attach that too," she tweeted.
Bonang made the comments after a Twitter user asked what happens when you sue someone who doesn't have money.
"Ask that kid @Bonang sued..." another user replied.
Of course, Queen B decided to give us a little update on the situation.

MORE FROM EAST COAST RADIO
Bonang is not the only star who won a major lawsuit against a vlogger. Cardi B successfully sued controversial YouTube vlogger Tasha K for claiming that she has an STI, takes cocaine, and worked as a prostitute before becoming famous.
The 'Bodak Yellow' rapper was awarded $4-million (R73-million) in the libel lawsuit.
Like Rea, Tasha said she can't afford $4-million. And like Queen B, Cardi B was like that's none of her business.
"Think [it’s] a game but trust imma come for everything," she tweeted. Cardi B also shared a clip of Rihanna's 'B***h Better Have My Money (BBHMM)' music video.
"BBHMM," she wrote.
