Bonang denies trying to steal Minnie Dlamini's spotlight

Bonang Matheba has denied trying to overshadow Minnie Damini and Kairo's special days.
Bonang Matheba was recently slammed for holding her 30th birthday party on the same day as Minnie Dlamini's umembeso, and Kairo Forbes' second birthday.
But South Africa's media darling has denied she was trying to steal their spotlight.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Bonang says she had been planning her party for months, but had to change the date.
"The weekend of my birthday I was in New York. The week after my boyfriend was performing at the Durban July. So, I had it last week because everyone was available," she told the publication.
The 'Top Billing' presenter added that Kairo, who is AKA and DJ Zinhle's daughter, celebrated her birthday party the day after her 30th. Queen B was even in attendance.
Bonang says the backlash she received does not bother her one bit. In fact, it makes her want to work harder.
"I have learnt to ignore the negativity and, to be honest, the hate spurs me on. It makes me better. I use it as fuel. I am who I am because of the hate," she said.
