A 'Barbie' reunion as Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling join new project
The 'Barbie' co-stars will be heading back to the big screen for another big project.
Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are gearing up for their next big movie.
The 'Barbie' co-stars are set to reunite for the upcoming 'Ocean's 11' prequel. Margot was first attached to the film in 2022, with Ryan coming onboard a bit later.
The movie's producer, Josey McNamara, talked about their involvement in the movie during a recent red carpet appearance in London.
"I can’t really say much. but I think we’re just trying to do right by the franchise. I’m excited for people to experience it when it’s ready," he told GamesRadar+.
The first 'Oceans 11' movie premiered in 1960. The heist film starred Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Joey Bishop, Peter Lawford, and Sammy Davis Jr.

George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, and Julia Roberts remade the classic in 2001. Their version was styled 'Ocean's Eleven'.
Three other films were released between 2004 and 2018. Stars such as Catherine Zeta-Jones, Bernie Mac, and Don Cheadle appeared in the follow-up movies.
Sandra Bullock's all-female reboot, 'Oceans 8', was the franchise's last project. It starred Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, Anne Hathaway, Awkwafina, and Sarah Paulson.
The 'Ocean's 11' prequel does not have a title or a release date as yet. No other details about the other cast members have been revealed but the movie will reportedly be set in 1960s Europe.
Josey says he hopes the prequel won't be the last time people see Margot and Ryan together on the big screen again.
"They’re wonderful together. The more projects even outside of that we can have them do would be amazing."

Margot and Ryan's 'Barbie' movie is the highest-grossing film of 2023. It earned more than $1.4-billion (R26-billion) at the box office.
The film currently ranks 14 on the highest-grossing movies of all time.
'Avatar' is the highest-grossing movie in history followed by 'Avengers: Endgame', 'Avatar: The Way of Water', 'Titanic', and 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.
