Babes Wodumo has revealed that she successfully unlocked her late husband Mandla 'Mampintsha' Maphumulo's phone.

The Big Nuz member died in December after suffering a stroke. Babes - whose real name is Bongekile Simelane - joked that he died without giving her his cellphone's passcode.

Babes shared an emotional tribute during Mampintsha's funeral that saw her extending an olive brand to her mother-in-law, Zamanguni Gumede. The pair have publicly expressed dislike for each other in the past.

"I ask that whatever dispute we have ends today," she told her mother-in-law as attendees, which included DJ Tira, looked on. Babes then made a joke about Mampintsha's passcode before saying that all men cheat.

But now, a few days after the musician's funeral,  Babes says she has the phone pin. The 'Gqom Queen' wasted no time going through Mampintsha's phone.

“I’ve finally got the PIN for baby’s phone. Thank you baby! Shame, my husband loved me until the end. I'm now reading all your business,” she teased in a video shared on TikTok.

Meanwhile, KwaZulu-Natal officials have denied that R50-million was spent on Mampintsha's final farewell, which was held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban on December 30.

"The falsehood being peddled about R50 million is nothing more than a figment of imagination by those who are morally corrupt and spiritually bankrupt. We further wish to appeal to the public to circumspect and not abuse the power of social media by spreading false information," provincial government said in a statement.
