Australians call for Trevor Noah boycott over 'racist' joke

Trevor Noah is in hot water after an offensive joke he made about Aboriginal women five years ago resurfaced online.
South African comedian Trevor Noah has apologised for "offensive comments" he made about Aboriginal women in 2013.
A clip of the 'The Daily Show' host joking about the appearance of Aboriginal women is doing the rounds on social media.
"All women of every race can be beautiful. And I know some of you are sitting there now going, ‘Oh Trevor ... I’ve never seen a beautiful Aborigine.’ But you know what you say? You say, ‘Yet.’ Because you haven’t seen all of them, right? Plus it’s not always about looks, maybe Aborigine women do special things, maybe they’ll just like, jump on top of you," the Guardian quoted him as saying in his stand-up routine.
Australians are so furious about Trevor's remarks that they have called for a boycott of the 34-year-old's upcoming tour in the country.

Former Australian National Rugby League (NRL) player Joe Williams, who is indigenous, shared a clip of the joke (which has since been deleted) on Twitter.
He called Trevor out for the "racial abuse".
"Hey @Trevornoah, your comments about Aboriginal @IndigenousX in this clip are utterly unacceptable! As a man of colour, you are usually in point with racism & divide - here you are perpetrating & encouraging racial abuse!! #boycotttrevornoahinoz," he wrote.
Trevor Noah replied to Joe's tweet, admitting he was wrong for making the joke.
"You're right. After visiting Australia's Bunjilaka museum and learning about aboriginal history first hand I vowed never to make a joke like that again. And I haven't. I'll make sure the clip from 2013 is not promoted in any way."
