Angelina Jolie wins big at the 2024 Tony Awards

And the 2024 Tony Award for 'Best Musical' goes to...

Angelina Jolie and the team behind the Broadway musical, 'The Outsiders', beat stiff competition to take home one of the biggest awards at the 77th Tony Awards.

The actress was one of the musical's producers. 'The Outsiders' received a total of 12 Tony nominations.

According to the musical's website, it was adapted from S.E. Hinton's 1967 book and Francis Ford Coppola's film.

"In Tulsa, Oklahoma, 1967, the hardened hearts and aching souls of Ponyboy Curtis, Johnny Cade and their chosen family of ‘outsiders’ are in a fight for survival and a quest for purpose in a world that may never accept them. A story of the bonds that brothers share and the hopes we all hold on to, this gripping new musical reinvigorates the timeless tale of ‘haves and have nots’, of protecting what’s yours and fighting for what could be," a synopsis of the Broadway musical reads.

Angelina produced 'The Outsiders' alongside actress LaChanze, the Araca Group, American Zoetrope and Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures.

Angelina attended the awards ceremony with her 15-year-old daughter, Vivienne.

The teen is one of six children Angelina shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt.

Other 2024 Tony Award winners include 'Harry Potter' star Daniel Radcliffe. He won his first Tony for his performance in 'Merrily We Roll Along'.

Sarah Paulson, Jeremy Strong, Jonathan Groff, Maleah Joi Moon, Kata Young, Will Brill, and Kecia Lewis are among the winners.

With an Oscar and now a Tony under her belt, Angelina is just two awards away from earning EGOT status.

EGOT stands for Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards. Only 19 people can call themselves EGOT winners.

Jennifer Hudson and John Legend are two recent winners. They join Audrey Hepburn, Richard Rodgers, Helen Hayes, Mel Brooks, and Whoopi Goldberg on the list.
