Another day, another day of power cuts for South Africans. Eskom hit the country with Stage 6 loadshedding on Tuesday, leaving millions of people fuming.

One person who has had enough of the rolling blackouts is rapper AKA. The 'Fela in Versace' hitmaker took to Twitter to plead with South African-born billionaire Elon Musk for help.

"Please @elonmusk I know you have a solution for load shedding … do it for your country your original one," he wrote in one tweet.

The rapper added in another post: "Excuse me sir … @elonmusk … I cannot for the life of me understand why the government hasn’t approached you to come help us out with this electricity crisis, but is there any chance you could perhaps do us a solid, you know, with you being born here and all."

With a net worth of more than $200-billion, Elon is the richest man in the world. The Tesla CEO is also known for his innovative SpaceX projects.

The 51-year-old recently announced that he wants to buy Twitter for a whopping R690-billion

So, it comes as no surprise that AKA believes he could bail South Africa out of its loadshedding problem.

But the musician's followers think he is barking up the wrong tree.

"To him, you are just an ordinary person, he won't even bother replying [to] you like you guys do to us," one tweep joked.

Another user teased: "He's broke. He bought Twitter."

Elon Musk is yet to respond to AKA's tweet.
