According to Billboard, Mariah will also release a new documentary and a new music video for 'Honey'.
The sixth studio album by the star was released on 16 September 1997, under Columbia Records.
Some of the popular songs from the album include, 'Close My Eyes', 'Whenever You Call', and 'Fly Away' .
It was nominated for three Grammy Awards.
The album which reportedly sold over ten-million copies worldwide has been certified five-times Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in the United States.
In celebration of the album's 25th anniversary, Mariah also spoke about how it emancipated her spirit, soul, and innermost feelings.
"Happy BUTTERFLY anniversary! I will never forget the day I released this album to the world. I had never felt more exposed and vulnerable yet free and euphoric at the same time. It was a true EMANCIPATION (no pun intended!) of my spirit, soul and innermost feelings which I poured into every lyric and every note on every song. 25 years later and it's still one of the proudest moments of my life and career. I hope you enjoy reliving this journey with me. To celebrate #Butterfly25, I'm releasing new remixes, live performances, acapellas, and a brand new version of "The Roof" with the one and only @brandy! More to come," she wrote on Instagram.
