2025 Oscars: Best-dressed red carpet looks

From Demi Moore's custom Giorgio Armani dress to Ariana Grande's Glinda-inspired couture Maison Schiaparelli gown, the Oscars red carpet did not disappoint.

California sparkled on Sunday night, not only from the bright lights of the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles but also from the dazzling sequin dresses lighting up the red carpet at the 2025 Oscars.

Before the coveted award winners were announced, nominees and other guests walked the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre™ in Hollywood.

Halle Berry and Adrien Brody reunited on the red carpet for the first time in over 20 years. Berry recreated their famous kiss from a previous Academy Awards ceremony.

In 2003, Brody kissed Berry passionately onstage while accepting his 'Best Actor' award for 'The Pianist'.

"That was one hell of a night for him, and for me as well. To be a part of his moment… tonight I had to pay him back,” the 58-year-old told Variety.

She kissed him as his partner, Georgina Chapman, cheered them on. “Sorry, Georgina, but I gotta do it," she said.

Berry turned out to be Brody's lucky charm because he went on to win 'Best Actor in a Leading Role' for 'The Brutalist'.

'Ghost' stars Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg also had a sweet reunion on the red carpet. The actresses smiled as they briefly caught up.

Patrick Swayze would be proud!

Here's a look at the best dressed women at the 2025 Oscars.

Demi Moore

Demi Moore sparkled in a custom silver dress designed by Giorgio Armani. 'The Substance' actress didn't miss a beat on the red carpet this awards season, and she hit a home run with her 2025 Oscars look.

The 62-year-old received nothing but rave reviews from fashion critics and fans.

"Wow, wow, and again – wowww," one Instagram user commented.

Zoe Saldaña

Zoe Saldaña's Saint Laurent dress gained mixed reviews on the red carpet. People either loved it or hated it. Those who heaped praise on the dress described it as their favourite look at the Oscars.

"I love it. Especially the gloves," one social media user said about the 'Emilia Pérez' star's outfit.

But the highlight of the night... winning a 'Best Supporting Actress' Oscar

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez brought back old Hollywood-style glam with this gorgeous Ralph Lauren look. The singer-actress was practically shimmering on the red carpet.

"Old Hollywood vibes really suit her. Regal. classic. elegant," an Instagram user gushed.

Ariana Grande

'Wicked' star Ariana Grande took inspiration from her character for her outfit. Her couture Maison Schiaparelli gown is inspired by Glinda's pink "bubble dress".

The unique look stood out on the Oscars red carpet for all the right reasons.

"Glad to see something so different yet elegant," one woman commented.

Cynthia Erivo

Grande's 'Wicked' co-star and fellow Oscars nominee Cynthia Erivo also turned heads in a bold gown. Her custom Louis Vuitton dress gave us drama, elegance and a touch of wickedness.

The dramatic deep-green dress would make any Disney princess envious.

We have never seen the Wicked Witch of the West look this good!

Whoopi Goldberg

Veteran actress Whoopi Goldberg showed young Hollywood how to do a red carpet! The 69-year-old wowed in a liquid-water Christian Siriano dress that even Anna Wintour would approve of.

Did we mention the dress has pockets!?

Halle Berry

Oscar winner Halle Berry was also dressed by Christian Siriano.

"I have wanted to dress this woman for the #oscars my entire career! Bammmm @halleberry in Siriano tonight!" the designer said.

Berry's sequined dress made it onto every best-dressed list.

"She might be best dressed," one social media user declared.

Lisa

Blackpink star Lisa walked her first-ever Oscars red carpet. The K-pop musician, who was also a performer at the ceremony, opted for a suit-dress combo, and we ain't mad about it.

Fans say there was a deeper meaning to her floor-length Mark Gong blazer. Her Oscars performance paid homage to James Bond, and Lisa's outfit is allegedly inspired by one of his suits.

Miley Cyrus

We had to do a double-take when Miley Cyrus walked onto the red carpet with bleached eyebrows. However, it was a momentary distraction from her beautiful Alexander McQueen dress.

"Stunning! But I hate the no-eyebrows look," an Instagram user remarked.

Doja Cat

Doja Cat lived up to her name in this animal-print gown.

"10s all around!" one social media user wrote.

She paired her Balmain dress with a matching scarf.

Queen Latifah

Christian Siriano was on a roll on Sunday night.

He dressed Queen Latifah in an elegant red gown that was worthy of every red carpet.

"Beautiful, talented, strong... and how about those cheekbones!"

RAYE

Singer RAYE looked like a goddess in Vivienne Westwood.

"This woman is all that and a bag of chips. That voice and those curves. I wouldn’t change a thing!" an Instagram user commented.

A worthy mention...

Kylie Jenner did not walk the red carpet but she still created fashion buzz. She attended the ceremony to support her partner, Timothée Chalamet, who was nominated for 'Best Actor'.

Some deemed her black dress too sexy for the Oscars, but stunning nonetheless.
