A-list stars support Lionel Messi at his Inter Miami debut

Victoria Beckham and Kim Kardashian were just some of the stars who supported Messi during his first match with his new team.
Argentinian football icon Lionel Messi made his Inter Miami debut in America this past weekend. The 36-year-old received a warm welcome from the club, his fans, and a host of celebrities.
The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner led his MLS team to victory against Liga MX's Cruz Azul during their Leagues Cup match at DRV PNK Stadium in Florida.

Several A-list stars watched Messi in action during his first match as captain of the club.
Inter Miami co-owner, David Beckham, and his wife Victoria Beckham were in attendance. Their children Cruz and Harper were also pictured at the game.
An emotional David appeared to have tears in his eyes after Messi's last-minute goal.
"Incredible night in Miami. Thank you to all the fans for creating such a special atmosphere, I’m so proud of this club . We’ve just witnessed greatness…" the retired British footballer wrote on Instagram after the sold-out match.

Victoria and David Beckham were seen mingling with some of the star-studded attendees. Kim Kardashian and her son Saint West cheered on Messi from the stands.
Saint got Messi to sign his jersey as he exited the field.
Serena Willians and her husband Alexis Ohanian joined LeBron James in the VIP section. Marc Anthony and celebrity hairstylist Ken Paves were also spotted at the game.

Victoria and David ended off the weekend by celebrating the victory with friends at a club in Miami
The couple danced to the Spice Girls' 1996 hit, 'Say You'll Be There'.
"Work hard play hard! Wow!! What a night celebrating with friends in Miami!!!! I love you @davidbeckham," Posh Spice captioned pictures from their night out.

Messi Inter Miami Salary
According to Forbes, Lionel Messi's Inter Miami salary is between $50-million (R896-million) and $60-million (R1-billion) per year.
Messi reportedly turned down a $545-million (R10.5-billion) offer from Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal.
The footballer's deal with Inter Miami includes a cut of subscriptions from Apple TV's MLS Season Pass, which is expected to get a major boost thanks to his signing.
"LET'S GOOOO!!! It was very important to start this week with a victory for us and also for all our people. And we go on... " Messi wrote in Spanish on Instagram after his big debut.
