Cyril Ramaphosa visits IEC National Results Centre
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa has made his first visit to the National Results Operations Centre in Pretoria where he thanked South Africans for bracing the inclement weather and standing in long queues to bring out their vote.
Ramaphosa says he has been ill, calling it election fatigue, but added he was kept up to date as the results started coming in late on Wednesday night.
Ramaphosa praised the IEC for what he called a mammoth task.
He then had to answer a string of questions about the ANC losing support in major metros across the country.
"The people of South Africa have spoken through their expression of their choices, determined how they want to be governed at local government level," he said.
