Covid-19 positivity rate drops even further

South Africa’s Covid-19 positivity rate has dropped even further as new cases continue to show a downward trajectory.

Statistics released by the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) on Monday evening has the country’s positivity rate at 14%.
A total of 2 409 new cases were reported in just 24 hours.
The number of laboratory-confirmed cases in the country now stands at 3 528 463.
Covid-19 related deaths continue to increase, with 77 reported in just one day.
This brings the number of Covid-19 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic to 92 530.
