Weather alert: Heavy rains expected in KZN
Updated | By Chanelle Lutchman
The SA Weather Service says downpours in parts of KwaZulu-Natal are expected to continue into tomorrow.
Forecaster's Wisani Maluleke has warned the heavy rains could lead to flash flooding.
He says there's also a possibility of hail in some areas.
"The southern part of the province which include Ixopo, Pietermaritzburg, the Durban area, Giants Castle, and Ladysmith. Those are the areas which will be affected heavily," he said.
Motorists are also being advised to slow down in the wet weather conditions and keep their headlights on as well as a safe following distance.
This comes as Durban was hit by a massive storm last month which saw dozens of homes destroyed and claimed the lives of at least four people.
We want to hear from you. What do you think about the coming rainfall?
