We want decent homes: Sea Cow Lake residents
Updated | By Khatija Nxedlana
Some residents of the Siyathuthuka informal settlement in Durban's Sea Cow Lake area are demanding decent housing after losing their homes in heavy rains over the weekend.
"We want houses. Right now, none of us have gone to work. We vote yet we don't get basic services. We aren't fighting or arguing with anyone, all we want is a safe place to build our homes," said a frustrated Zandile Mlita.
Mlita is one of the dozens of people who lost their homes in the flash floods.
