We followed all due processes in Mchunu resignation: ANC
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal says all due processes leading up to the resignation of Premier Senzo Mchunu were followed.
Chairperson Sihle Zikalala says their processes have never been amended from the time Mchunu was redeployed as Education MEC to Premier.
In a press statement, Mchunu says when his resignation was discussed with provincial leadership, six accusations were levelled against him.

The ANC has refused to divulge what the accusations are, saying Mchunu was presented with his assessment report on the state of governance in the province.
''We are not going to assist in stories we have not planted and it was not in the interest of the organisation to talk about another comrade in the media.
"We have avoided doing so and we are avoiding detailing the report of the assessment which we gave to him which the PEC have. But we would like to be emphatic in appreciating the leadership comrade Senzo [Mchunu] has provided,'' he said.
