Van Rooyen files for state capture report interdict, again
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Cooperative Governance Minister Des van Rooyen has again filed an application to interdict the release of former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela's state Capture report.
Van Rooyen withdrew his initial application, after Madonsela told him the state capture report made no adverse finding against the minister.
He did, however, approach the court over allegations in the report regarding his academic qualification.
A news article reported that a former Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) staffer told Madonsela that Van Rooyen obtained assistance from PBO staff members on his academic assignments.
Van Rooyen has now joined President Jacob Zuma in their attempt to have the state capture report released.
The matter is expected to be heard in court tomorrow.
