BREAKING: Zuma liable to repay R7.8-million for Nkandla, says Treasury
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Treasury has determined that Zuma is liable for R7.8-million for the non-security features at his private Nkandla home in northern KZN home.
Minister Pravin Gordhan and his team had been given 60 days to report back to the Constitutional Court on the amount to be paid back.
In March, the Concourt found that Zuma violated his constitutional duties by failing to implement the findings of the Public Protector that he pay back a portion of the Nkandla money.
Gordhan says Treasury's work in this matter is now complete.
"In accordance with the Constitutional Court order, the National Treasury has prepared the report and has submitted its report to the court on the President's homestead in Nkandla," he said.
